The seamless switcher upgrade project is a project being discussed to add a switching PC to the AV system in Lower Level Conference Room. It is intended to add expected functionality that was missing in the 2017 A/V upgrade project.

Early proposals included a Roland production switcher to fix the problem of high latency when switching video sources. However, to reduce cost and increase flexibility, CES is exploring the possibility of building a switching PC with a four-channel video capture card. The PC will be rack-mounted, eliminating the need for any inputs or outputs running to the back of the room.
