The 2018 A/V Upgrade Project is a project planned for the summer of 2018 to correct problems with the 2017 A/V Upgrade Project.

Voice Lift

Because the ceiling microphones are not amplified as intended in the previous upgrade project, an amplifier will be added to the rack, and the speakers will be zoned in a mix-minus setup.

Due to steel obstructions in the ceiling, the microphones and speakers above the panel table will need to be relocated. This may involved changing the scope of the project.

Seamless Switching

Early proposals included a Roland production switcher to fix the problem of high latency when switching video sources. However, to reduce cost and increase flexibility, CES is exploring the possibility of building a switching PC with a four-channel video capture card. This would require AdTech to run four video outputs from the DM switcher to the back wall.
